Spell Remnant Disposal
Wondering what to do with the leftovers and remnants after you’ve finished your ritual spell work? Here is a list of ways to dispose of your remnants based on your ritual intentions and supplies used. These are great options for leftover wax and biodegradable remnants. If in doubt, toss in the trash.
If glass or other recyclables were used, clean and put them in a recycle bin or smudge (or use our Clear and Protect Spray) and repurpose for use in future spell work. If you bury glass jars be sure to place a marker and be certain the area will not be disturbed, glass can be dangerous to animals and children if found, or you might move and need to unearth the jar to take with you.
Manifesting Long Term
Bury spell remnants in your backyard with the intention of keeping and maintaining long term desires. Examples: marriage, family, happiness, prosperity, protection and spiritual growth. If you do not own your property you can bury it in a houseplant or at the base of a healthy tree in a park or forest.
Manifesting New Desires
When calling in something new, bury spell remnants in your front yard. Examples: new job, career or life path, new improved health, new love, and new experiences. If you do not own your property you can bury it in a houseplant or at the base of a healthy tree in a park or forest.
Banishing, Reversing, Cursing
Remnants from banishing, reversing, returning to sender, and defensive magic should be buried in a cemetery. When you’re ready to put an end to or dispell something, bury it at the cemetery. *caution: when you leave don’t look back and leave an offering* Examples: ending relationships, cord cutting, self-defense, and uncrossing.
Banishing, Releasing, Forgiveness
When doing spell work for releasing or banishing negativity, cycles, bad habits, people, etc., release the spell remnants into a moving body of water such as a stream or river, be sure the water flows away from you. Another option is throw the remnants into a bonfire, fire, or fireplace, you can later scatter the ashes off of your property. Examples: banishing/removing people from your life or others, forgiveness spells, grief, cycles, habits, and debt.
Banishing, Influencing, Separating Others
If banishing people or situations leave spell remnants at a railroad track. To separate people leave spell remnants at an abandoned railroad. Persuading or influencing people, or to deliver a curse, leave spell remnants at a busy crossroads or intersection. Examples: influencing someone to move or exit a job.
Magic for Others
When doing spells for or on other people bury the spell remnants in their yard if able, if not able be sure remnants are discreet and leave in their yard or driveway. Examples: protection, blessing, hexing, and love.
Business Spells
Any type of magic regarding businesses should be buried on the business’s property. Examples: prosperity, protection, blessing, cursing, and influencing.
